Have You Signed up Yet to Receive the Latest Village News by Email?

During the last few years, Babs Gregory was kind enough to allow the Parish Council, the Village Hall and others to use her Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) list of email addresses to let people in the village know about forthcoming events, lost pets and the like. However, recent changes in the law on General Data Protection mean that this is no longer possible as addresses and other personal data can now only be used for the specific purpose for which they have been gathered.

Babs will continue to use the NHW list of contacts for its original purpose, but Helen Coop (who is Chair of the Village Hall Committee) has agreed to set up a separate list of email addresses of Seaton residents; this will be used to share details of local issues and events, such as the quick email Helen sent out this week to remind us that Main Street was going to be closed for 2 days of drainage works.

Having a village network for the quick distribution of short messages was really helpful during the Covid 19 Pandemic. You are therefore encouraged to email Helen Coop at seatonrutland@gmail.com if you live in Seaton and would like your email address added to this distribution list. You can remove it at any time if you no longer want to be included.
