Village Children Play a Key Role in Seaton Centenary Remembrance Service

The 2018 Remembrance Service at All Hallows Church was a very special event. The Church was full to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War and to recall the names of local parishioners who had given their lives in both World Wars.

One of the highlights of the Service was the significant part played by the children of the village. Vicky Sanderlin-McLoughlin had organised a group of village children to research and tell us about the background of each Seatonian who had died in the wars, and about the significance of the poppies in remembering the First World War.

The children performed superbly and their stories made the event very special.
