Neighbourhood Watch Beat Surgery

Organ Recital in All Hallows Church, Seaton

Organ Recital in All Hallows Church, Seaton

Morgan Overton, a talented young local musician and composer, will be giving an organ recital in All Hallows Church at 3.00pm on Sunday 15 Apr 2018 to help raise money for the Church renovations.

Tickets cost £15 each and include afternoon tea and a glass of prosecco.

Cottesmore Hunt Visited Seaton on Saturday 3 Feb 2018

The Cottesmore Hunt gathered at the Ridings in Seaton this morning, before riding off across the fields of Rutland.

Simon and Helen Cockbill, who are not riders themselves, invited interested villagers to witness this traditional country event, and provided generous refreshments for all.

Bird Flu

Bird Flu has been identified within the wild bird population in Rutland. RCC has therefore published the attached safety precautions for people who keep birds or poultry, including those who have small numbers of poultry at home.

Please read the guidance and help reduce the risk of bird flu spreading.

Disruption to Traffic on Grange Lane - 6 March 2018

Access through Grange Lane will be disrupted on 6 March 2018 to allow tree works for Western Power Distribution. The contractors will do their best to allow access, but this cannot be guaranteed.

New RCC Charge for Green Bins

Last September, Rutland County Councillors voted to introduce a £35 charge for green bin collections, starting from April 2018.

In the next few days all eligible households will receive a letter inviting them to sign up for the chargeable service from Monday 22 January 2018.

Residents will be able to sign up online, over the phone, or in person at the Council's offices.

The Tree blocking the Road from Seaton to the the B672 has now been removed

Following last night's strong winds, a large tree had fallen across the road from Seaton to the B672 ie the road which runs from Church Lane towards Thorpe by Water.

We are pleased to announce that Rutland County Council Highways Dept were quick to respond and have now removed it.

Feedback from the Seaton Parish Council Meeting on 15 Jan 2018
