Fri, 15 Nov 2019 19:30

Helen and David Coop will be hosting a fun quiz night from 7.30pm in Seaton Village Hall on Friday 15 Nov 2019. There will be a mix of general knowledge questions for all ages - described by one resident as "more mini Eggheads rather than University Challenge!"

The evening will cost £7.50 per person which includes a delicious fish and chip supper. You can bring your own drinks.

So please call Helen on 01572 747292 or email her at helen_coop@msn.com to book your places, either as individuals or teams of up to 6.

To give you a head start, the first question will be to name your team. I think ours will be called "Universally Challenged!".

Defibrillator and CPR Training in Seaton Village Hall

Thu, 28 Nov 2019 19:00

It is now over 3 years since we installed the defibrillator outside the Village Hall in Seaton. We provided some training at the time and this was very well received, but there are many new residents in the village it has been suggested that we organise another training session.

The Parish Council has therefore invited the Rutland First Responders to provide some hands-on training in CPR and how to use the defibrillator.

The training will take place on Thursday 28 Nov 2019 in the Seaton Village Hall from 7.00 pm and will last approximately 90 minutes, including the following:

  • Introduction
  • DVD showing cardiac arrest scenario
  • Hands on CPR, defibrillator training in small groups using manikins.
  • Q&A session

The training is designed to give us all confidence in how to recognise and cope in the event of a cardiac arrest. So come along; it may be the difference between life and death.

Please email greenfield.nic@gmail.com to reserve your place by 15 Nov 2019, so that we can ensure sufficient trainers and refreshments.
